April is National Stress Awareness Month. In the spirit of finding ways to avoid stress, I present to you some of my favorite tools that help make my life a bit easier.

HootSuite
If you aren’t using HootSuite to manage your social media messaging, you should definitely give it a try. It makes posting to ALL of your social media sites as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Choose the social media sites you want to update.
Craft your message (because we all know it’s an art form).
Schedule when you’d like your message to be posted.
It’s seriously that easy! On top of that, it allows users to see what’s happening across all of their social media sites in an organized dashboard; this is much better than having a gajillion tabs open at once.
Feedly
This awesome site presents all the news that I want in one place in an easy-to-read format. This is a great tool, because I can dictate what type of news I receive. Don’t have time to read an article? No problem! Feedly allows you to save articles for later. And once again, I don’t have a buttload of tabs open.
buttload (n.) unit of measurement, see gajillion
ClickToTweet
This is really cool, y’all. ClicktoTweet allows you to easily create tweetable content for your readers. Create custom messages inside the body of your blog post and make it simple for readers to share those messages on Twitter. Like this: Click here to share this fantastic blog.
IFTTT
I love this website! Not only does it help me track new Twitter followers and Tweets, but it also sends me an SMS message to my phone if it’s raining outside and reminds me to bring my umbrella. Cool, right?! There’s an endless amount of “recipes” that will make your life easier. You can browse existing recipes or create your own. I highly recommend you check this site out and see how IFTTT can help you.
WordToCleanHTML
I will often draft blogs and emails in programs like Microsoft Word and Google Drive. When I copy my content from such programs and paste into the blog and email platforms, all of my previous formatting is totally different – my font style has changed, my copy turns bold, the spacing is all wrong and so on.
This is where WordToCleanHTML comes in handy. To avoid this formatting nightmare, I can now simply paste my draft into a box, click the “Convert” button, copy the resulting HTML code and paste into my platform’s HTML code. Hooray! No more screaming at my computer screen.
I love hearing about fun and helpful tools like these. What tools are you using that make your life a bit easier?
